Tour Snack – Energy Ball Recipe

This will probably only make sense if you’ve been on the tour with us before, but we wanted to share the energy ball recipe here so you can make them at home too. They’re a crowd favourite, in case you haven’t yet tried them while in the middle of the rainforest with us.

They’re really simple. Use the following:

  • 1 cup of peanut butter (crunchy, obviously…because that’s the only real peanut butter anyway)
  • 1/2 cup of honey

Mix those two first – trust me, do it this way to make the addition of the dry ingredients a little easier.

  • 2 1/2 cups of quick oats
  • 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds

Mix that all in well with some elbow grease and a sturdy spoon (so it doesn’t bend). Make sure it’s all incorporated well. You should get something that looks like the picture on the right.

Then make little balls with the mixture, lightly wetting your hands every 5 or so balls, so the mixture doesn’t stick to you.

energy snack recipeRoll them in desiccated coconut then, and enjoy!

We make a triple batch and freeze them to last a bit longer.
